Greenskills Containers for Change Refund Point
The Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) has operated in Denmark since October 2020. Visit the Containers for Change website for further information on the program. To cash in your eligible containers for a 10c refund visit the Greenskills CDS Shed at Denmark Waste Management Reuse Facility (DWMRF) - 46 East River Road, Hay, during opening hours.
Eligible Containers
Containers must be clean with lids removed to be eligible. Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for a refund. There are some drink containers that are not eligible for a refund, generally, excluded containers are those that are less than 150ml and greater than 3L. For more information, please ask the friendly staff at the Refund Point.
Bulk Quantities
Drop-offs in bulk quantities may require presentation of your Driver's Licence and completion of a Refund Declaration. The declaration is available at the Gate House or the CDS Shed during operating hours. When dropping off containers in large quantities, we recommend you have a Scheme ID to allow for Bag Drop and reduce waiting time. To set up Scheme ID visit Containers for Change webiste registration page.
Bag Drop Outside of Refund Point Operating Hours
Outside of regular CDS Shed Operating hours containers can be dropped off at a designated area adjacent to the DWMRF Gate House to be counted throughout the week. Vessels holding the containers must be labeled with Scheme ID, name and phone number. They must be secure and easy to transfer.
Vessels used for drop off the containers are required to be collected promptly once counting has taken place. In the event that containers are excessively soiled or predominantly ineligible, they will not be processed. Drop-offs of bulk quantities will require completion of a Refund Declaration. This form is available at the Gate House, please ask the attendant for assistance.
