Important Infringement Information

Common infringements in the Shire of Denmark include:

All infringements must be paid within 28 days of the date of issue of the infringement notice. You have 28 days from when you receive the infringement to apply for it to be withdrawn. After 56 days, if the payment has not been received the matter will be forwarded to the Fines Enforcement Registry for cost recovery. Further monetary penalties may incur and your driver's licence or any vehicle licence held by you could be suspended.

Appealing an Infringement

You have 28 days from when you receive the infringement to apply for it to be withdrawn. You can still apply after 28 days but you may be issued with a final demand notice and charged a $26.10 final demand fee, you will then be granted another 28 days to settle the matter.

Over the Christmas/New Year period, infringement appeals can take up to 21 business days to be resolved. At other times they are generally resolved within 14 days. If you are still awaiting a response outside of this timeframe, please contact Ranger Services.

Important Information for Specific Infringements:

  • Parking/Camping: If you were not the driver of the vehicle at the time of the offence, please nominate another driver.
  • Firebreak and Fuel Management Notice: Please read our non-compliance FAQs before submitting your appeal.
To successfully appeal your infringement, you will be required to submit evidence to prove that an Authorised Officer has made a mistake.

Infringements are designed to point out the seriousness of your failure to act responsibly. Whether you have been caught parking in an ACROD bay without the appropriate certification, or if your firebreaks have failed inspection, it is your civic duty to act more responsibly in future.

Before you submit your appeal, please first read the detail about common infringements in the Shire of Denmark available at the links below:
