Today, the Shire of Denmark is kicking off engagement for its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan review.
The current Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) is due for review, with the goal to ensure that all people – including people with disability – are welcomed and included in all aspects of life within the Shire.
The review will look into access to Shire buildings, information, feedback, complaints, services and employment opportunities.
Community feedback and ideas are being sought as part of the review, with a simple survey opening today, available online, in hard copy and alternative formats upon request.
Additional consultations are planned during the review, including face-to-face, telephone and drop-in style consultations to facilitate inclusion of people with diverse needs, as well as community forums planned to take place in November.
For more information about the review, including survey details, contact information and details for the current DAIP, please visit our engagement page: www.yourdenmark.wa.gov.au/daip-review or contact our Community Development Officer on (08) 9848 0333 or rosemarie.arnephie@denmark.wa.gov.au.
